Private Lesson

I'm currently teaching virtual online classes. It's not the same as being in the studio, but I'm finding that it works for now, and we are having lots of fun with it. I have ongoing beginning virtual classes offered through Elm Street Arts in Woodstock, GA. The class, Virtual Clay Shenanigans, has been so much fun. You don't need to be in town to participate!  Contact me for details if you are interested, or click on the elm street logo for more information or to register.

I'm planning on offering intermediate and advanced virtual classes in 2021. Please contact me if you are interested.

PRIVATE LESSONS are a great way to get your feet wet with clay. In three to four classes I can get you up and running and making a variety of forms. We start with the basics. Coil building and pinch pots. Lessons include clay, use of my studio and tools and firing. I charge $50/hour. We can also set up semi-private lessons if you would like a small group setting.

OPEN STUDIO is on hold due to COVID-19, but normally I hold a couple of OPEN STUDIO sessions for experienced students each week. Either 6-9pm or 10am-1pm. I float around the studio time helping people with their different projects. You learn by being around lots of creative energy in a positive and supportive environment. Sometimes I will teach a specific project that you can participate in or just continue with working your own. Open studio is $25 for a three hour session. You buy my clay for $25 for 25 pounds. I offer many varieties. Firing is $1 an inch. Most people work on large sculptural pieces. We have so much fun working together and enjoying the creative energy that each person provides!

I offer APPRENTICESHIPS for anyone interested in trading studio work hours for use of my studio, materials and learning about what I do. Apprenticeships are 2-6 work hours per week. Clay experience is a must. Work schedule depends on the hours you have available to commit to my studio. Contact me for an interview.
